The HCEA event coincided with National Lemonade Days, an annual fundraising
effort that grew out of Alexandra “Alex” Scott’s front yard lemonade
stand. During Lemonade Days, dedicated volunteers host thousands of
Alex's Lemonade Stands across the country, raising more than $1 million
annually for childhood cancer research in one weekend.
In addition to its stand at HCEA, MC² employees will host 12 lemonade
stands, designed and built by the company, in local communities
including Atlanta, GA.; Kingman, AZ; and Pen Argyl, PA.
Founded in 2000, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is a registered
501(c)3 charity. To date, the organization has raised more than $25
million towards fulfilling Alex’s dream of finding a cure for all
childhood cancer, funding over 100 research projects nationally. For
